HST Turbo Blender

The Scott HST Turbo blender is perhaps the most flexible continuous mixer on the marketplace today, capable of consistently blending a wide variety of materials. The continuous blender can handle up to 5 different material at one time, mixing powders with another powder, powder with a liquid or several liquids together to create a homogeneous product free of any agglomerates or lumps.

The flexibility of the HST Turbo Blender stems from the adjustability of the paddles and speed of the unit. Simply by adjusting the paddles and the speed of the mixer shaft the unit gives you the mixing results you desire. Best suited in applications where high intensity and low retention time are needed, it is excellent for mixing small amounts of liquid with a dry powder in a coating application. Direct heat or a steam/hot oil jacket can also be added where heat and intense mixing are needed to melt and coat the powder. If cooling is needed a cooling jacket is also available.

Continuous Blender Applications

The flexibility of the HST Turbo Blender makes it ideal for a wide variety of products and applications. It is best suited in an application where high intensity and low retention time is needed.

Specific applications include:

• Coating - It is excellent for mixing small amounts of liquid with a dry powder in a coating application. Direct heat or a steam/hot oil jacket can be added where heat and intense mixing are needed to melt and coat the powder. If cooling is needed a cooling jacket is also available.
• Deagglomeration - This continuous mixer is also especially efficient in applications where materials need to be deagglomerated. It is often used as a finisher for cake mix and other bakery mixers. With the addition of breaker bars, the blender will serve a variety of deagglomerating or grinding applications.
• Mixing powder, slurry or liquid - The HST Blender is often used for mixing liquids with baghouse dust, mixing dry materials with waste sludges and for conditioning fly ash and bottom ash.
• Agglomeration - The unit can also be used as an agglomerator where fine agglomerated particles are formed with the addition of liquid binding agents. Adjustable paddles can be replaced with pins in some agglomeration applications.

The paddles are completely adjustable, rendering the HST Turbo Blender one of the most flexible continuous blenders on the market today. Whether your product is dry, moist or slurry, our HST Turbo Blender is capable of mixing the material in an efficient manner.

The shaft paddles are supplied with a variety of hard surface treatments. The paddles are adjustable and replaceable for ease of maintenance.

Agitator Paddles

• Paddle design allows for easy cleaning of agitator assembly
• Available in polished sanitary design up to 3A Dairy Standard
• Paddle blades are adjustable and replaceable to maintain close tolerance to the mixer bottom in non-sanitary models
